Interior Design Ideas: House For Sale

 

Hello, my wonderful friends! How are you today? Are you being able to enjoy your summer so far? I feel this is one of the busiest times of the year for me. The kids are off school, which means the house gets much louder, but much more complete, and I usually work a lot on new interior design projects. But this time of the year is not just busy for me, studies show that most moves happen during the summer, after selling their home during spring. I can’t complain about where we live, but if I was looking for a new home and moving to Illinois, this house, which is currently for sale, would be on my list!

I’m truly happy to be sharing this house for sale on our “Interior Design Ideas” series today. Take notes on all details below and have fun pinning your favorite pictures. This one should inspire you!

This home features 4 beds 6 baths and around 6,104 sq.ft. and it’s situated on almost 2 acres.

Board & Batten

I love the combination of white board and batten siding with the grey roof and grey stone. Classic!

Garage

This home features a 3 car attached garage and an additional heated garage/workshop with car lifts.

As you enter the home, you are welcomed by a two-story foyer, dramatic farmhouse-style staircase, beautiful hardwood flooring and shiplap.

Cabinets are custom. I really like to clean lines of this kitchen hood. Side cabinetry are perfect to store spices and cooking oils.

20 Creative Indoor Cat Playground Ideas

Don’t even try to deny it.

Many of us love pets. It could be a dog or a cat. But today, let us talk about cats.

Have you seen your cats crawling around into small spaces? Or walking on top of shelves? Well, that is their nature. They love to crawl and just have fun!

Try putting yourself on the shoes of the cat.

Would it be comfortable to walk around a place which isn’t really crafted for you? For sure, you can’t play jump rope indoors for fear that you might break something. You can’t even run around like crazy as well! So imagine how you feline friend would feel. Oh that’s said.

But we have a solution for you.

There are actually cat walks and many other accessories that you can add to your home to make it cat-friendly!

Nothing is more convincing than the interiors that you are about to see below! Come take a look at these Indoor Cat Playground Ideas and imagine how happy will your cats feel if you have these in your house!

This house features a special elevated pathway for their pet cat since the owners aimed to make the space comfortable both for them and their cat.

2. Loft H

The owner of this loft wanted to have a space for his books and collectables. Aside from that, he also requested for an adjustable shelf system that also works as the playground for his cats. The shelves are staggered at different heights so the cats can have a great time.

3. 50m2 House

At first glance, you will think that you are just looking at a long elaborate shelf. But as a cat moves down from it, you will realize that it is actually made for them!

This is an interior renovation project with an industrial and rustic design. What you can see here is a special arched doorway for the cats.

Aside from that, there is also a vintage-industrial loft with a custom nook along the windows where the cats can relax.

The interior of this house is mostly white. The wall flanking the kitchen stops short at the ceiling in order to provide a space on top for the cat’s walkway. This walkway continues across the hall and through a hole in the wall that leads to a room where their litter box is located.

6. The Cat House

Key Operation

Stepping-stone shelves were installed on the walls to allow a cat to move between rooms through high-level openings, without the need to use the landing and stairs. This way, the family members are undisturbed from their activities since their cat has a path of its own.

For this home, the owners wanted to bring the outdoors inside the house for the cats. In order to do that, a series of apertures in the outside was added which allows rain, wind, and light into the space between the two structures.

8. Small Home Smart Home

LAAB Architects

This home is very small. It was challenging for the designers to come up with a design for the space since the couple has many things in mind including a large kitchen and a bathtub. But that’s not all! They also need to add some features for their three cats. With that, LAAB Architects added a catwalk around the ceiling, cat ladder, litter box that is hidden beneath the bathroom sink, cat food trays hidden within the kitchen cabinets and even a hidden den for them!

Sounds impossible, right?

Well, this video will give you a good look at the small smart home and how cat-friendly features were integrated into it.

9. Brooklyn Triplex

A subtle way to bring a cat-friendly feature into the house is by adding cat doors like what you can see in this interior. Notice that there are small doors on the white cabinets so the cats can play around!

10. Garden Oasis Cat Walk Fun

Every aspect of this home considered the cats! There are plants, playful colors, and everything that the cats will love. There are built in catwalks all over the house. Take a look at the video below so you can see what the entire house looks like. And see the cats in action!

11. Renovation of Modernist 70s House

You can also add a small feature like this for your cat. Well, even if that is just a tiny cat door, it already gives much joy to your feline friend!

If the cats are not there, you will think that this is a mere wall system design. But it is not! It is actually designed that way for the cats to play around. I love this look as well as the added lights on it.

This part of the house is called the Catio (combination of cat and patio). Five lovely cats use this area wherein there is a custom tree with five cat beds and a chair for people. Notice that the sofa has a tunnel so that the cats can go inside if they want to. There is also a wooden bridge which allows the cat to get a good view of the garden.

14. Overhead Cat Playgrounds

Goldtatze

German design company Goldtatze (Goldpaw) specializes in creating overhead playgrounds and walkways for cats. Their hand-made products could create a playground for cats indoors. They even use real tree branches to give it a natural feel.

15. Plus-Nyan House

The perspective of this home is based on both the cats and the homeowners. It features open-air cat walks, climbing steps, nooks for cat hide-outs, cat doors in all doors, and an extra space in the bathroom for the cat’s litter box. They also made sure that the cats will stay within the vicinity of the house with an enclosed deck area and special fences.

16. Windsor Terrace Row House

This three-storey row house is inspired by a pair of well-loved cats. The couple who owns the house wanted to accommodate their cats in the house. With that, the designer provided strips of molding on the sloped part of the ledge that will help the cats to gain a footing.

What you can see here is only a small portion of a modern apartment with soft neutral palette and dramatic black accents that flow throughout the space. The picture above shows a cat’s fantasy playland that was built into the bookshelves. There is a scratching post, multilevel shelves, and platforms where their feline friends can run and climb on.

This home is for a family who wants to live comfortably with cats. What you can see here are wall shelves that are actually for the cats to access a catwalk on the beam.

A couple in France loves their cats so much that they considered them in the design of their interior. The wall shelves are actually climbing blocks for their cats, too!

20. Chai Chee House

Free Space Intent

This household is ruled by cats! Throughout the home, everything is customized for the cats including the wall fixtures and furnishings. To make it look even more fun, they used a backdrop of vibrant colors and added some dramatic textures.

One bedroom is designated for feeding and cleaning the cats. Of course, it is outfitted with planks, perches, and accessories that make it a like a mini cat gym! Love those cat wall decals!

Isn’t this amazing? Yes, the above interior is a concrete proof that we can actually integrate some pet-friendly features in our home if we want to. Beautifully designed by Julie Barrett Design, this classic coastal home is located on the Texas Gulf Coast in the community of Crystal Beach. Its crisp coastal color and clean lines make this beachfront home a fun and relaxing retreat. Filled with natural light and comfortable seating, it invites you to sit down and take in the panoramic views.

How cheerful is this beach house! The exterior paint color is custom, but, according to the designer, a similar color would be Sherwin Williams Tame Teal SW 6757. If you prefer it to be darker, Benjamin Moore Tropicana Cabana is also a great turquoise/teal color. Trim color is Sherwin Williams Pure White 7005.

New-Construction Modern Farmhouse Inspiration

 

AK Construction’s unconventional spin on a modern farmhouse was designed to be a true show stopper. This property was originally being built as a spec home but was swooped up early on in the construction stages and became a one-of-a-kind dream home for a family of four. This 6,626 square foot home is nestled on a picturesque street in Menlo Oaks, California.

Beautiful Homes of Instagram: Country Living

 

It’s great to start a brand new week with all of you here and I am very happy to be sharing Chasitiy of @lovehurtts on our “Beautiful Homes of Instagram” series. She is just a person that lightens up your day and I am sure you will feel this as you tour her beautiful country home.
 

“Hello everyone! I am Chasitiy Hurtt of @lovehurtts. My day/week/year was made when Luciane asked me if I would like to be featured in the series “Beautiful Homes of Instagram.” Some of my very favorite homes/inspirations that I have followed for years have received this honor in the past – and for our home to be even slightly considered to represent this series is such a privilege. Getting a deeper look into some of these great accounts, which are mainly driven by such incredible women, has given me a better understanding of this lovely community that Luciane has gracefully helped foster.

When discussing home decor/design, I always try to be transparent in that I do not have a formal design background, however, home decor has become an outlet for me over the years, and now can be defined more as a passion. I am always eager to create the next welcoming space…Whatever that may be.

Located in Northwest Georgia – in a town I actually grew up in – our home is built on the highest point of our community. Villanow is a town that can only be classified as extremely quaint, living “out in the country,” and everyone will ask what your last name is to trace back how they may know you or your relatives. It’s also not uncommon for anyone who ever talks about my beloved Villanow to describe it as “God’s Country” – It’s breathtakingly scenic, and utterly timeless!

I guess you could say my passion for design all started when Richard (my husband) and I purchased 55 acres in 2014, and decided to start designing/laying out our forever home roughly four years ago. I was researching, pinning, comparing, and analyzing every single detail of what I envisioned this home to be. When combing through thousands of house plans, we just couldn’t find THE one, and I just wasn’t willing to settle. After becoming somewhat discouraged we later discovered this dead-end was in fact as blessing. It was at that point that we were determined that if we couldn’t find the perfect home, then it could be created…from scratch. We started off by taking elements from all of the house plans that we loved, and create the home we wanted to fit our needs. Richard, being an engineer, was able to take all of my thoughts, crazy ideas, and changes and transfer them into a buildable blueprint. Thankfully we both thrive off of symmetry, so he was able to incorporate detailed design components for balance – which is a common thread throughout our entire home.

Since we were starting with a fresh slate – and by fresh… it was all wood, and had only been used as a deer-camp for hunters for the past 25 years, so it was completely overgrown. Starting with bulldozing a new 2,000 driveway, we set the tone for how our future guests would arrive to “Hurtt Holler.” We had actually visited the Biltmore in NC around that time, and thought it would be really neat to model a winding driveway (obviously a very scaled down version) after their entrance. We have plans to incorporate mini-vignettes over the years to try to recreate the Biltmore’s welcoming feel as you drive up.   

The next element of design was based on another factor – I love to entertain, and as many have stated in the past, an open floor plan and large porches would allow us to host large sized gatherings and parties. We also achieved maximum privacy being on a hill, completely surrounded by woods, and the closest neighbor cannot be seen standing from any point inside or outside of our home. Wild muscadine vines, large oaks as far as the eye can see, and watching unparalleled sunsets with a ridge outline are just naming a few of my favorite features of our woodland retreat.

In building any home yourself, we still have a decent list of home projects that still remain, with landscaping being our main objective this year. With that said, I truly like to look back through pictures to see how much we have actually accomplished in the past two and a half years.

As you will notice within this article, my design style has a heavy french-country influence, with an accent of vintage flair, and a splash of craftsman to accomplish clean lines. I am inspired by layered textures, contrasts in colors, while always trying to remain classic.

Beautiful Homes of Instagram: country Living

When designing our home, I appreciated the fact that the exterior of the home is the first thing our guests would see. So, I wanted it to make a classic yet Southern impression.

Oak

We positioned the home right next to one of the largest Oak trees on the property – Which is named the “General” for obvious reasons.

Shutters

We handmade our own shutters out of 1 x 6 pine and are painted Tricorn Black SW 6258 – extra satin.

White Siding

The front of the house is “Select Cedar Mill” Hardie. Siding painted with Sherwin Williams Extra White SW 7006 paint.

Front Porch

 The front porch is made of 5/4 x 6 pressure treated pine stained with Super Deck SW 3542 Charwood. The beadboard ceiling is currently a natural finish, with plans to stain to allow the dark/golden undertones to bleed through.

Front Door

The double front door is from Pella, and came factory painted with Sherwin Williams Pure Red SW 6868.

Foyer

Having lived in Louisiana for a few years, I loved the classic, nostalgic feel of a brick floor and wanted to bring it home. It’s the very first thing people see when entering, and it’s always a wow reaction. Brick is so classic, and adds so much more than texture to any space. 

Best of Both Worlds

We added real shiplap and painted it in Sherwin Williams Extra White in the two story foyer as well to give the brick a softer contrast. I used a craftsman design for the staircase and interior door underneath. Again, this is to achieve the straight/clean lines in a sea of textures. 

Brick

I decided to use the same “Old Louisville Tudor” brick by General Shale but in a thin brick to make it cohesive to the exterior design.

Wall Paint Color

The wall color is Perfect Greige SW 6073 by Sherwin Williams.

Decor

A vintage sewing machine adds some extra charm to this foyer.

French Doors

The dining room is just to the right after entering the home. I incorporated  glass double doors with transom for this space as well to have a “draw in affect”.  The hardwood floors are by Anderson Hardwood – Style Casitablanca/ color Monterrey Grey – similar here, here & here.

Dining Room

The walls are Sherwin Williams SW 7018 Dovetail with SW 7006 Extra White Trim by Sherwin Williams. The whimsical chandelier is the crown jewel in the center of this space. It is 30” Wide Rust Candelabra Chandelier by Franklin Iron Works. The windows are Pella Aluminum clad casement windows with transoms. This room in surrounded by the porch, so you virtually feel as if your outside sitting with hanging ferns in view.

Great Room

Connected to the Kitchen & Breakfast Nook, this two-story room was designed to draw your eyes up. 

From Above

From the dimensional angles, to the arched brick/shiplap fireplace, we wanted this room to feel grand – Not due to it’s size, but for it’s depth & textures. We also chose to include an exposed beam in this room by increasing the height of the ceiling. The builder had every intention of covering it up based on it looking “unfinished,” however, I LOVED the character and the rustic feel it added to the room, so I fought for him to leave it as is.

Fireplace

Also the original layout of this room had the fireplace off center before engineering changes, which we later corrected to create a symmetrical view from the kitchen. A fun fact about this room…The arched brick fireplace using the same General Shale Old Louisville Tudor thin brick & the half-moon window by Pella Windows are 2 out of only 3 arches used throughout the entire home. The other arch is located in the two-story foyer.

Columns

With incorporating these soft features within this space, I chose the blunt craftsman design for the columns for balance.

Kitchen

When designing the kitchen, I never in a million years thought I would ever want a white kitchen…Clearly, that changed. After creating a physical design board to compare while pulling everything together, I quickly decided that it was a MUST.  The shaker style cabinets are recessed, painted Sherwin Williams SW 7008 Alabaster with dark bronze hardware.

 The pendant lights above the island are the Arena Cove 10” Cottage Single Cage Pendant by Kichler – Again, darker metal was used to center the view, and compliment the hardware. The hardwood floors are by Anderson Hardwood – Style Casitablanca/ color Monterey Grey – Which gives it the perfect contrast from the cabinets, metals, and textures.

Brick Backsplash

The backsplash continues the theme by using General Shale Old Louisville Tudor thin brick, which is the same as the foyer floor.

Prep-Sink

 Ultimately, I decided on a copper bar sink in the island to be a statement which has a matching Oil Rubbed Bronze Kingston Brass KS117 faucet.

Countertop

To complete the cabinets, we chose granite in color Ornamental Cream – with the perfect shades of color to bridge the harshness of the brick backsplash to the softness of the white surface.

The farmhouse sink is nestled under double casement windows with transoms. This feature was a must – Which ultimately changed the entire layout of the original kitchen.  The faucet is a Kingston Brass KS127.ALBS in Oil Rubbed Bronze to coordinate with the cabinet hardware.

Wall Paint Color

The wall color is Perfect Greige SW 6073 by Sherwin Williams.

Breakfast Nook

The breakfast area consists of a handmade farmhouse 7 ½” table with a large picture window to feature the views of the ridge & valley in Villanow. The oil rubbed bronze light right above the table is is the Bristow 4-Light Mission Bronze chandelier by Allen+Roth (similar here). I found the perfect old, beaten up windmill, at a local market. As soon as I saw it, I knew it belonged in this very place.

Paint Color

The wall color is, once again, Sherwin Williams Perfect Greige.

Master Bathroom

The vanities are the same specs as the kitchen cabinets – painted SW 7008 Alabaster with the same ornamental cream granite countertops. The light fixtures are 3 Hainsbrook 3-light vanity lights by allen+roth above the vanities.

Paint Color

The master bathroom is painted a calming color – Sherwin Williams Silvermist SW7621 with extra White trim by Sherwin Williams.

The oil rubbed bronze faucets are by Kingston Brass KB1605AL Heritage 4-Inch Centerset Lavatory Faucet.

Bathroom Tile

The flooring is ceramic tile style Channel Plank/ color Stone Gate (00510) by Shaw Floors (similar here) with cream grout color. The shower uses the same ceramic tile style Channel Plank but in color  Flax (00100) – similar here – with a Stone Gate accent strip with matching mosaic shower floor. The dual shower heads are made by Delta Ashlyn Monitor 17 Series.

A large walk in closet with cabinet island is located just off of the master bathroom.

I wanted an “established” look when it came to the foundation, so we skirted the entire home with General Shale’s “Old Louisville Tudor” brick – The brick imperfections and contrast in color, make it appear as if it were an old home place.

Popular Kitchen Cabinet Styles

 

As an interior designer, I have helped many homeowners have their dream kitchen and the first decision to be taken is always the style of the kitchen cabinet we will choose, and trust me, choosing the best cabinet style for your kitchen is not as easy as it seems. First, I find that many homeowners feel a little lost with all the cabinetry styles we see, and although they want their kitchen to feel current, it’s important to find a balance between “trendy” and “classic”.

When it comes to kitchen cabinets you want to make sure to choose the right style and you really want to avoid any mistakes since this is where most of your money will go to when designing a new kitchen. It’s important to keep in mind that not only are cabinet doors one of the most visible design elements in a kitchen, but they can also be one of the most expensive. So let’s talk more about the most popular kitchen cabinet styles and how you can save money after finding the right one.

Kitchen Cabinet Style: Shaker Style

Shaker-style kitchen cabinets are by far the trendiest and most-used kitchen cabinet door style chosen lately. This style became very popular for its clean and non-fussy look, perfect to be used with many designs, from farmhouse to traditional. You can use a variety of hardware finishes on shaker-style cabinets, but sleeker/uncomplicated hardware design works better on these type of cabinets.

Shaker-style cabinets are usually an affordable choice, depending on the type of wood you’re choosing.

 

Kitchen Cabinet Style: Inset

Do you have some extra money to splurge? Then you might want to go with inset cabinets. Inset-style cabinets tend to be pricier due to the precise amount of work these doors require but they’re classic and chances are that you won’t grow tired of them.  Also keep in mind that you can use these cabinets with exposed or concealed hinges.

 

Kitchen Cabinet Style: Flat Panel

Not too long ago when someone mentioned flat-style kitchen cabinets, you would envision an ultra-glossy, contemporary Italian kitchen. Nowadays, flat-style cabinets are becoming warmer while still being sleek. Flat panel doors are, as the name says, completely flat.

In my opinion, this type of cabinets look even better when made of real wood and kept natural (with a clear sheen), like we see here. Adding a marble countertop and slab backsplash brings a timeless feel to this kitchen.

 

 

Kitchen Cabinet Style: Shiplap

I think that shiplap works almost everywhere, and although I don’t see it being a classic choice, this is a trend that will continue to be popular for as long Joanna Gaines has a TV show! The kitchen above features a combination of inset cabinets, shiplap hood and beadboard island. Yes, you can mix styles! So don’t be afraid and add what you love to your kitchen.

 

Kitchen Cabinet Style: Accent Cabinet Doors

I absolutely loved designing the kitchen we see above. This hutch cabinet was part of complete kitchen renovation and it added so much personality to my client’s kitchen.

Usually, an accent cabinet door is not used throughout the entire kitchen, but is used as a decorative accent. This can include glass doors and mullion doors.

How to Save Money When Designing a Kitchen

Regardless what type of cabinet you choose, saving some money when designing a kitchen is important for most of us, right? So how can you save money on kitchen cabinets? My advice is buying good quality stock cabinets and building a soffit above out of the trim molding to make the kitchen cabinets have that custom look without having to pay for it. This is exactly what the designer did to the kitchen above. Saving on this might even allow you to finally have that countertop and the appliances you’ve dreamed of for a long time!

20 Small and Sleek Condo Bathrooms

We have been talking about condo living for a while now and I think that this list could be a great finale for the lists that we have about condo spaces. The toilet and baths in this list are all standard spaces but for modern living, you’d wish that you have a larger space.

Take note. Although the bathrooms we will feature are small, these toilet and baths are fully functional and beautifully done!

So, yes, today, we will be showing you a couple of photos of small and sleek bathroom condos that will surely inspire you to go for minimalism especially in the bathrooms. All these spaces will definitely be something for you to check back when the times that you decide to redecorate or on the verge of planning how your toilet and bathrooms would look like. Let us go ahead and check out the photos below.

1. West Hollywood

Since condos usually have limited spaces, their bathroom spaces are a little bit sacrificed. Seeing this bathroom, you know that this condo is bigger than usual because it was even able to accommodate a tub. The minimalist look is neat and is a classic.

2. Bellevue Avenue

This Bellevue condo has a long bathroom space and I think it looks fab! The neutral color choice is perfect for any season and any user. I think what I love most about this bathroom is the chocolate cabinets and drawers.

3. Beacon Street Condo

I love how this condo in Beacon Street has a large bathroom space that included a tub that doubles as a shower area as well. I adore the mosaic tiles below the large mirror as well. A great way to add color to this neutral-colored space.

4. Pelican Bay Condo

Beiges and browns were used in here and adding a hint of blue on the floor and on the wall added a hint of drama to the shower area. Enough cabinets have been installed to this bathroom.

5. Compact San Francisco Condo

A smaller shower area is seen in this bathroom and notice the cute color of the walls – I think it looks friendly and rather charming. Sleek bathroom designs like this one is common for most condos since designers make sure that the spaces look really nice even when it is rather small.

6. Industrial Condo

I have a few photos of how small their spaces are because of how expensive rent is – but seeing this bathroom, you know it’s small but definitely not cheap! The tiled space is appealing and interesting – its industrial look will surely capture the eyes of many.

7. Waterfront Condo

The fixtures in this bathroom are simple yet complement with the color of the tiles used in the walls. Since this is a small bathroom, no tub was added to it. I love the movable circular mirror added just beside the larger mirror.

8. Main Street Condo

I am personally not a fan of doors directly across a mirror but since this is a smaller space than some toilet and bath, I understand the location of the door. A glass wall and door separates the bath with the sink and the toilet bowl. Notice the lighting used above the sink – industrial in design, and I think it matches the color and looks of the cabinets below the sink.

9. Front Street Condo

This toilet and bath look like it came out of a magazine and I totally love it. The color of the walls matched with the tiles looks adorable. The double vanity’s cabinet work is stunning and I would not mind having one for myself in my place; the mirrors and the candles beside it is just a perfect match made in heaven.

10. Chaz Yorkville Condo

The look and feel of this toilet and bath resemble that of something I saw in a hotel I once visited. They indeed maximized the space and used a large rectangular mirror to create an illusion of a larger toilet and bath. Contemporary choices were made for the fixtures and decorations.

11. Mt. Pleasant Condo

See what happens when you use a large mirror? It makes spaces seem larger than they really are and I think it’s a smarter way of enlarging spaces. The color of the cabinets contrasts with the wall color and the floor tiles. The geometric pattern of the shower curtain is simple but very catchy.

12. Urban Chic Condominium

This bathroom has this traditional look and feel to it that it just looks homey. It’s like you have nothing to ask for in a bathroom! All the essentials are there and the designer added enough ammo for it to really look pretty, neat and definitely functional.

13. Montreal Condo

Notice that they used the same tiles for the wall by the tub to the flooring. I feel like the white wall where the furniture and fixtures are attached to seems dry or lacking something but all in all, this toilet and bath sure is functional and neat.

14. Crabapple Dr. Retreat

The color combination of this toilet and bath is a classic – white and grey with wooden accents to create a more elaborate contemporary look and feel to it. The choice of the lighting fixture is really beautiful too, I love it.

15. Boca Condo

How do you feel about straight edges? This bathroom sure has enough edges if you actually love them. Squares and rectangles are seen in most portions of this bathroom and I think it looks modern and classy.

16. Pierce Street Condo

The tiles used in this bathroom sure is interesting. The nude colors make the white fixtures stand out along with the tiles making the space stunning. This bathroom sure is minimalist but that’s okay because it’s still functional.

17. Mississauga Condo

Look at how sleek the toilet bowl is; it is beside a contemporary mirror and a slamming counter for your bathroom needs. The light colored walls and granite choices make this space real sleek and pretty.

18. Midtown Condo

This toilet and bath seem a bit larger than most of the spaces in this list but it sure looks neat and pretty like a bathroom you’d find in your granny’s house just a little bit modern.

19. Beach Front Condo

Another bathroom in this list that has a cloth divider to hide the bathroom area of the space. The toilet area with the sink, toilet bowl, and the mirror is simple but showcases its purpose.

20. Miami Home Staging

The angle of this photo sure is showing off the size of the entire toilet and bath. You see everything that’s inside the space and at the same time have an idea as to where you can add more color or decor. This toilet and bath is minimalist but at the same time real classy.

California Beach House with Beautiful Coastal Interiors

 

Built by Patterson Custom Homes and with architecture by Brandon Architects ( I completely recommend them if you’re in California!), this Corona Del Mar, California beach house features one of the most beautiful interiors I have seen lately.

As you will see here, this home is not huge, but the well-designed spaces make the most of every square foot. The home features an open main floor with a stunning kitchen and upstairs you will find a gorgeous master bedroom and bathroom that is perfect to relax in after a long day.

California Beach House with Beautiful Coastal Interiors

Exterior features single siding, board and batten and custom trim work.

Shingle Siding: Eastern Red Cedar shingles, topped with Cabot Bleaching Oil.

Exterior Sconces: Visual Comfort.

Exterior Stone: Eldorado Rough Cut – Autumn Leaf. The pilasters feature custom irrigated planters – similar here, here, here, here & here.

Landscape includes wax leaf privets, grass, and succulents.

Front Door Set: Emtek Baden.

Courtyard

This inviting courtyard features a custom floating bench against flower beds. Flooring is acid washed concrete.

The custom fireglass firepit features stone surround with Granite top – similar here, here, here, here & here.

Balcony

The balcony custom trim matches the detail on the fence.

Windows are Jeld- Wen Premiun Series, Aluminum Clad.

Home-Sweet-Home

The interior paint color is Dunn Edwards DE6213 Fine Grain; which is a light tan/greige paint color. This neutral color feels neutral, beachy and it works well with almost any type of light.

The fireplace features horizontal tongue and groove.

Florida Empty-Nester Home Ideas

 

Located in Winter Park, Florida, this custom built home would be perfect for a vacation home or for an empty-nester. Recently built by LunDev Custom Homes, this home feels open and welcoming to guests.
