Hello, my wonderful friends. It’s great to come back here with a new post for you guys and I am excited to share this new-construction home and the floor plan. I often get emails from readers requesting to see the floor plan of the homes I feature on Home Bunch, but most architects and builders do not share the floor plan because they tend to be customized for the clients, therefore they keep them private. We are very lucky to have the architect and builder, Todd W. Reed of Reed Brothers Design & Build (previously feature here), willing to share all of the details of this beautiful home with us.

This newly-built home features gorgeous roof lines, transoms and round windows.

Gorgeous roof lines, transoms and round windows add to the curb appeal.

Garage doors: Cedar glazed Stockton.

Garage Size: 908 sqft 3-car garages.

First Floor

Size: 2,928 sqft 1st floor.

Dining Room

The house wasn’t furnished when these pictures were taken but I am trying to focus mostly on the floor plan, instead of the decor in this post. Walls throughout the first floor are painted in Super White by Benjamin Moore.

Chandelier is RH.

Trim Paint Color

Beautiful details can be found in many rooms of this home. The grid board and batten paint color is Super White Benjamin Moore PM-1.

Lighting: Currey & Co – large.

Great Room

The living room is one of my favorite rooms in this house. Built-ins add to the livability to the space while a tall fireplace balances the high ceiling.

Hardwood Flooring

Flooring: La Famiglia Antonietta pre-finished engineered hardwood flooring – similar here & here.

Doors & Windows

Windows & French doors are Windsor Pinnacle clad (exterior color is linen).

This modern farmhouse kitchen comes with a big island, a walk-in pantry and two sinks so more than one person can cook at the same time.

The Kitchenaid refrigerator is tucked on the right corner of the kitchen.

Inspiring kitchen layout! The kitchen feels spacious but everything is within reach. Notice the bar cabinet on the left.

The dishwasher and a built-in microwave were placed in the island, flanking the main sink.

You don’t need to have a fireplace to create a focus point in your living room/family room. This is such a great idea for a custom built-in media cabinet for a space without fireplace.

Island & Corner Banquette

Kitchen island with four seating and corner nook with built-in banquette. The clients for this kitchen have 3 small children and wanted a family-friendly space where their kids and friends could hang out, complete homework, etc.

Clients wanted kid friendly but a very “grown up” looking kitchen, so we added the herringbone marble backsplash, capiz chandelier and glass pendants. All of the fabrics used are indoor/outdoor for easy cleaning.

Breakfast Nook

The clients spend most of their time in the kitchen, so by creating the breakfast nook and providing ample bar seating it made the space much more comfortable. Paint is Dunn Edwards White Heat.

Two-toned Kitchen Island Design: “The design of the kitchen centered around my desire to have a two toned island. I designed the island to have a center base, with shiplap detail. I wanted that section of the island to be painted white. It was important to me to add some stained wood into the design of the kitchen to add warmth. One way I did this was to accent the island with stained “X” end panels.” –Sita Montgomery Interiors.

Kitchen Island Elements: “I topped the kitchen off with gorgeous, easy to maintain, marble look, quartz countertops. We used an extra thick 6cm quartz, with a mitered edge, to give the countertops a substantial look. My favorite feature may be the black silgranit, farmhouse sink from Blanco. The black sink, with brass faucet, set against the white countertops and cabinetry is an absolute showstopper!” –Sita Montgomery Interiors.

20 Adorable Dog-Friendly Interior Ideas

Today’s list is one of the interior designs that I love most. This is dedicated to all pet lovers, specifically for dog lovers. Yes! Dog lovers, brace yourselves because these spaces you are about to see were distinctively done with so much love for dogs.

Okay, I know what you are thinking. You may think that this will contain those out of this world, impractical homes created for our canine cuties by famous celebrities and people.

Hold your horses. I hate to disappoint you but I am not going to show you those. Are you getting a little skeptical now? Yes? Good! I love that!

I will not be dwelling on those interiors that we, ordinary people, may never get to achieve. Of course not! I am all for giving inspiration and hopefully ignite your creative and innovative ideas and make your lives and eventually make our world a better and a lot more beautiful place to live in.

Think about this moment when you first held your puppy. Everything lighted up. You found yourself adding a new member to your family. As a family, we want them to feel safe and happy in a place we call our home. To some this may sound insane but as a dog lover myself, it is only fitting that we make sure that they also get a well-designed space that any member of the family has.

This way we make sure that they are comfortable and they could enjoy every minute they spend with us. Not to mention having a designated area for them will keep the mess in control, especially when they are not well-trained yet.

Let’s admit it. They are cute and super adorable but behind all those sweet kisses, hugs and lovely tail wagging is the dirty truth. If you want this serious business to get handled in a very stylish manner, check this 20 Dog-Friendly Interior Ideas that will be beneficial for your dogs and yourself too.

Beautifully designed by Cantley & Company, this kitchen design should leave you inspired today. This is a new house in a fabulous old neighborhood located 10 minutes outside of Birmingham. The designer has done several kitchens for the family over the years and now that their four children are grown they decided to downsize and created a kitchen with a large eating area and a kitchen island. They usually use the island to eat their meals everyday and the breakfast room when all of the kids come back home.

Kitchen & Mudroom Gut Renovation Ideas

 

Nikki Dalrymple and her Massachusetts-based design firm, ACQUIRE, were tapped to assist in the redesign of this c. 1940s colonial home based in Wellesley Massachusetts.

The first floor kitchen, mudroom, laundry, and dining room space were completely renovated to accommodate a growing family with a modern sensibility.

As with many colonial house footprints of that era, the rooms were small and closed off from each other. A top priority for the client and ACQUIRE was to create a better flow through the spaces to allow more natural light, and to give the sense of open concept living.

There’s plenty of inspiration in this kitchen. The kitchen island was a custom color wash that the designer created.

Kitchen Island Dimension: 3’ x 7.75’

Wet Bar Cabinet

The kitchen wet bar features paneled refrigerator and freezer drawers, wine cooler and plenty of storage. I love this classic look.

Bar backsplash is stainless steel inlaid into Carrara marble.

Mudroom Renovation

This mudroom is really inspiring me. The lockers feature a stained wood bench, shiplap back and a built-in drop-zone with drawers.

The rugs in the kitchen and the mudroom all came from a local rug source “Dover Rug & Home”.

Santa Barbara Beach Home Design

 

Are you being able to enjoy your summer? I hope you’re being able to enjoy the sunshine and make special memories with your loved ones. Trust me, nothing is more important than that in this life.

I am truly happy to start this brand new week by sharing this beautiful home designed by the talented interior designer Debra Lynn Henno of Debra Lynn Henno Design, and I am very sure you will love this place as much as I do.

Not everyone will agree with me, but I am a big believer that you don’t need to have a big house to have a great home, in fact, if you ask me personally, I prefer smaller homes because they tend to be done just right – you won’t find rooms that feel incomplete, unfurnished nor neglected with pointless things. When you live in a smaller home, every room has a purpose, every space feels complete and you end up with a house that feels homey. I feel that this Santa Barbara coastal home is a perfect example of well-designed interiors that not only look beautiful but are also smartly done.

Santa Barbara Beach Home Design

This home is very special! I am loving the combination of metal roof, stained Cedar shingles with this modern “Picket” fence.

Exterior Paint Color: Frazee Fossil Dust 1043.

House Size: 2,500 Sq. Ft. – New Construction.

The front courtyard features a pair of white Adirondack chairs by Hampton.

Coastal Vibes

This beach house features some innovative ideas while respecting its traditional architectural details. Also, notice the stunning ocean view and the low cabinets flanking the fireplace.

This small kitchen features some brilliant ideas! It has two peninsulas – one for cooking and the other for seating – and glass cabinets above the sink don’t obscure the natural light coming from the windows.

Interior Design Ideas: Coastal Florida Home

 
Hello, my wonderful friends! How great it is to end a summery week sharing this beautiful coastal Florida home with all of you.

Located in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida, this is the kind of home that easily could be published on the cover of any magazine. Brilliantly designed, this home features plenty of inspiriting architectural details, which takes advantage of the stunning ocean views. The interiors are current, fresh, and colorful but without losing elegance.

Here, one of the architects, Joseph Stephen Cronk of Cronk Duch Architecture, describes the experience of designing this home: “We really had fun with this house as the clients allowed us to explore the original character of early coastal Florida structures to create a feel that achieved their goals of making a large house appear smaller in scale and as if it had grown over time.”

Cronk Duch Architecture was the architect and designed the interior architecture (moldings, openings, walls, etc.) with Cynthia Collins of Collins Interiors (Dallas) as interior designer and stylist.

This residence was inspired by the cottages of Harbor Island and Hope.

20 Modern Minimal Nursery Room Ideas

Nowadays, preparing the baby’s nursery room is a must for parents-to-be. In fact, some couples buy a new home just to accommodate a nursery!

Do you think it’s too much? Of course not! Parents would do anything for their little ones!

So, when we talk about nursery rooms, it is not just the furniture or the decors that matter, but it’s the function that gets the number 1 spot in the list. A beautiful space is useless if it is not functional at all.

Can you get what I’m trying to point out?

When one focus on function, rather than aesthetics, the design tends to be simpler. This way, it is more practical and functional. You won’t see any useless item in the room.

But don’t get me wrong. Minimalist spaces are not boring at all! There are also decors but everything is minimal. And yes, this is what we are going to show you today, some modern minimalist nursery room ideas for your little ones.

1. Central District Townhouse

This room feels larger and brighter with a quiet backdrop to the carefully selected furnishings. Simple animal head prints were added to the wall.

2. Carrick – Nursery

The parents of the baby boy who sleeps in this room wanted a nursery that is soft enough for an infant but still edgy enough to grow with him even into the tween years. With that, the designers came up with a modern space that used contrasting color scheme by pairing a pale blue/green with charcoal grey.

3. Baby Cotton

A combination of elegant curves, contemporary lines, and a crisp white color made this nursery look really stunning. Round, over-sized knobs for the cabinets give it a unique playful look.

4. Greta Crib

We would all agree that the crib here added softness, warmth and a cozy feeling to the nursery. What’s nice about this is that it can be converted into a toddler bed. The cabinets and shelves also look great which makes it easier to organize things.

5. Children’s Rooms

A modern nursery that could be nice for either a boy or a girl! This unisex nursery features some elephant designs on the walls that look totally nice.

6. Monochromatic Nursery

A Curated Room

Another gender-neutral nursery with a dark wood floor and brown floor. The gray walls add some texture to the space and it is a good match with the furniture in it.

The modern yet vintage rocking chair that you can see here was custom designed by Rocker Refined. It adds a classic touch to this modern nursery with a beautiful transparent crib.

Although it appears challenging to design the room with a ceiling like that, the designer managed to come up with a beautiful modern nursery. White and dark gray really looks good together especially if the space is well planned.

I could say that the parents wanted something simple but artistic. You can sense that from the rainbow tassels on the wall and the wallpaper that covers some part of the ceiling. Who says you cannot add patterns in a minimalist space?

12. Minimalist Modern Nursery

The owner of this nursery wanted something that is expressly modern and unique. The design of the nursery was pulled from the gorgeous acrylic crib adding sleek and modern furniture. There are also pops of bright blue, lime green, and charcoal grey.

13. Colorful Nursery

Having a simple space does not mean that you cannot add colors to it anymore. Look at how this nursery added colors to the area through the crib’s bedding set.

14. White Celestial Nursery

Do you want an all-white nursery? Try something similar to this! Actually, it used very light pastel colors in some decors. On the wall above the crib is a light gray moon. There are also other celestial decors in the space too.

Spot the yellow colors in this simple modern nursery with a wooden crib. From here, one can also get a good view of the outdoor space through a large window.

To break the white colors in the space, a black and white wall was added as the backdrop if the gray crib. It is also nice that it has a bench right beside the picture window.

Now this one is indeed simple! Just a few wall decors and it’s done! An area rug on the floor added some style to it. Notice that the color light green/ neon green is used subtly in the space.

One look at this, and you will immediately know that a little boy owns it. It is not blue or green but black and white totally works for a nursery room too!

What makes this nursery nice is not just that geometric wall but also its brightness. We would all agree that this is indeed a beautiful bright space where the baby can get a nice nap.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this crib is are popsicle sticks! This gave me an idea that we can DIY a crib for dolls using popsicle sticks. Apart from that, the look of this nursery is really nice and simple. With the combination of gray and white, it looks really neat. Adding a polka dot accent wall of the same color is a nice way to add some creative flair to it.

I would say that these modern minimal nursery rooms are really beautiful! It is indeed true that there is beauty in simplicity like what we can see in the above spaces. It won’t hurt to add some decors, for course. But putting only a few decors make the space look even nicer. However, if you prefer a nursery room with more colors, you can do that too! Whatever you choose would be perfect for your little bundle of joy as long as you have every essential item to make it functional. After all, function matters more than appeal! Then, the idea of transforming it into their dream vacation home finally came true when they hired Andrew, who knew how to bring personality into every single space while keeping them connected to the next.
